Safety standards
Every Kobe ride is independently lab-tested to meet β and often exceed β Canadian and international children's product safety rules before it ever reaches your door.
The standards we test to
These are the regulations and consumer-safety specifications our rides are certified against.
CCPSA
The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act β the federal law that makes it illegal to sell unsafe children's products in Canada.
Toys Regulations Β· SOR/2011-17
Canada's core toy rules under the CCPSA β covering mechanical safety, sharp edges, small parts, folding locks and bilingual warning labels.
ASTM F963
The North American Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety β including tip-over, torque and tension tests our rides are put through.
ISO 8124 & EN 71
The international (ISO) and European (EN) toy-safety standards for mechanical, flammability and chemical safety β so our rides meet a global bar.
Lead & phthalate limits
Tested against Canada's Lead Regulations (SOR/2018-83) and phthalate limits, so paints, plastics and grips are safe for hands and mouths.
CPSIA (US)
For rides that cross the border, we also meet the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act limits on lead and phthalates.
What every ride is checked for
Independent labs
Testing is done by accredited third-party labs β not just us. Certificates of compliance are available on request.
Always wear a helmet
No standard replaces supervision and a properly fitted helmet. We recommend both for every ride, every time.
